Ages 5-8 Pioneers
Every child looks forward to summer. Pioneers enjoy stimulating activities and adventures through traditional and even some not-so-traditional camp activities such as swimming (pending government guidelines), arts and crafts, sports, dramatic arts, nature, and music. All camp programs strive to encourage an appreciation for diversity, improve social skills, and develop leadership skills, while having fun and making lifelong friends.
Please Note: 5 Year olds registering for this group must have completed Kindergarten.
Ages 9-12 Adventurers
Each day, Adventurers explore new things and partner with peers to forge new friendships. Nature hikes, arts & crafts, sports, games, drama, special events, swimming (pending government guidelines), boating, and environmental education fill a typical camp day. Adventurers build confidence through participation in both individual and cooperative activities that include our low and high rope course. Adventurers are challenged to solve problems as a team to experience the positive results of cooperation. Hikes through the beautiful terrain cultivate an appreciation for the outdoors as campers learn to use compasses to maneuver through the woods.
Ages 13-14 Leaders in Training
What better way to keep teens active than by enrolling them in a Leaders In Training program where they will learn important life skills, including the skills needed to become future camp counselors. L.I.T.s spend most of the day shadowing camp counselors and learning to mentor and provide assistance to young campers, but there is also plenty of time for them to build positive relationships with peers. L.I.T.s participate in activities that focus on personal growth, build self-esteem and confidence, and encourage team work.
