Universal Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher
POSITION SUMMARY:
The YMCA OF MIDDLETOWN is looking for an experienced Universal Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher, who strives to create a safe learning environment that enriches the future of our students. Ideal candidate is someone who can foster a learning environment that stimulates child growth and development while creating strong child and family relationships. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a caring and nurturing personality. A team player and great communicator as well as motivated, energetic and responsible. Come join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and implementing weekly lesson plans for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Teaching strategies to document children’s progress
- Quarterly testing, recording and documenting results
- Communication with parents/guardians
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children under the age of 5 in a classroom/childcare setting
- NYS Teaching Certificate (Birth-2nd Grade or Grades 1-6)
- Bachelors/Masters in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelors in related field and currently enrolled in Masters in Early Childhood Education
JOB TYPE: PART TIME
- Sept. – June/Monday-Friday 8:00-3:00pm
