Camp Funshine

Ages 3-8

The Camp Funshine experience teaches campers to appreciate diversity at a young age, develops their social skills to help them make new friends and of course encourages them to have fun making lasting summer camp memories. Each session offers new adventures with exciting themes woven into daily activities, promoting both individual growth and a sense of belonging.

Explorers
Ages 3-5

Young children need a more structured and nurturing atmosphere, so our Explorers follow a full day schedule of age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities including swimming (pending government guidelines). Campers are encouraged to socialize and interact with each other during activities that help them develop fine and gross motor skills, build self-confidence and make new friends. Explorers experience new learning adventures every day!
Please Note: 5 Year olds registering for this group have not yet entered Kindergarten.

Pioneers
Ages 5-8

Every child looks forward to a summer of fun. The Pioneer campers enjoy a summer jam-packed with stimulating activities and adventures. Pioneers participate in all the traditional camp activities such as swimming (pending government guidelines), arts and crafts, sports, dramatic arts, nature, gardening and music, as well as some less traditional camp activities. The Camp Funshine experience teaches campers to appreciate diversity, improves their social skills and helps develop leadership skills while campers have fun making lasting summer camp memories.
Please Note: 5 Year olds registering for this group must have completed Kindergarten.

Summer Squad

Ages 9-12
The SUMMER SQUAD offers the traditional sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming (pending government guidelines), leadership development and outdoor camp activities, but at a new level. Leaders in Training (L.I.T.)

Ages 13-14

Leaders In Training volunteer in service projects and build positive peer relationships. L.I.T.s also have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities like swimming (pending government guidelines this summer) and sports. Our goal for the L.I.T.s is to teach them the Y’s core values and encourage them to put these values into practice every day. The L.I.T program prepares teens for positions as future Counselor’s in Training (C.I.T.) and ultimately to become future Camp Counselors.
