IN THE MAKING
Y Teen Leaders Club offers teens (ages 13-17) the opportunity to work closely with their peers and YMCA staff to develop leadership training, life skills, and personal growth through the planning and organizing of service projects, character building activities, and social & recreational programming.
Activities include attending weekly meetings, developing club goals and activities, fund-raising and attending annual youth leadership rallies and leaders school along other YMCA Youth Leaders Clubs.
This program provides a safe haven for local youth to engage in positive activities under the guidance of adult supervisors and mentors that can assist participants in becoming confident and contributing adults within their community.
Junior Leaders Club gives preteens, ages 10 to 12, the opportunity to make a difference in the community by working together to plan and implement service activities. The club also volunteers at YMCA special events and receives mentoring from the members of the Y Teen Leaders Club.
