Swimming Lessons - For all ages!
PARENT & CHILD SWIMMING LESSONS (Ages 6-36 Months)

The goals of our parent & child class (S.K.I.P.) are to increase the level of trust between parent and child in the water, to create a positive experience for the child in the water, and to introduce basic aquatic safety precautions to both parent and child. This program helps parents form reasonable and healthy expectations of their child’s progress through songs, games and activities. Classes focus on fun, exercise, parent education, and water adjustment. Classes are 30 minutes long.

Please Note: We offer lessons for pre-school age siblings of our S.K.I.P participants during the Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning classes and during our Wednesday evening class. Please see the pre-school schedule.

YMCA Pool Parties

Tired of cleaning your house before and after the party? Let us help you.  The Y will provide a party coordinator who will decorate the room, greet guests, collect gifts and help distribute your refreshments.   All you need to do is bring your refreshments and birthday cake. Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance and are subject to availability.  The party will consist of one hour in the pool with a certified lifeguard and one hour in the party room.  Parties are either on Saturdays from 2:00-4:00pm or Sundays from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Need a place to host a party but don't necessarily want a pool party? We can help.

For more information please contact Beth Goodman (845)798-4124.

Water Exercise Classes (Age 13 & Older)
Water exercise classes are beneficial to everyone regardless of age or ability. The biggest benefit to exercising in the pool is the amount of body weight the water takes off joints, making exercising with arthritic bones or even minor injuries much more comfortable for the participant. Individuals with any health condition should consult a doctor before participating.

Classes are FREE to YMCA members.
