+/-       Aquacize

Water exercise classes are beneficial to everyone regardless of age or ability and are especially beneficial to those suffering from arthritis, hip and leg injuries, or who find it difficult to exercise on dry land. The biggest benefit to exercising in the pool is the amount of body weight the water takes off joints, making exercising with arthritic bones or even minor injuries much more comfortable for the participant. Individuals with any health condition should consult a doctor before participating.

Our classes are available to YMCA Members only (age 13 & Older). Please scroll down to learn more about our classes.

Aquacize with Patty
This is a great cardio workout especially beneficial for individuals suffering from arthritis, hip and leg injuries, or who are overweight and find it difficult to workout on dry land.

Aquacize with Angie
This heart pumping class is great for anyone. Angie combines cardio and muscle toning exercises in a high intensity workout. This is a great workout for the entire body. Each session ends with a few minutes of stretching.

Aquacize with Nancy
This class has participants moving purposefully in the water and demonstrates how and why water exercise improves life outside the water. The class incorporates a cardiovascular workout to burn calories, yoga stretches to tone and strengthen muscles, as well as Ai Chi exercises to improve balance and promote relaxation. Various types of equipment, such as noodles and weights, are utilized throughout the class. Participants leave “ENER-CHIZED”.

Aquacize with Nina
Warning! This class will get your heart racing and every muscle in your body working. Come prepared to work those muscles you forgot you had. Nina keeps the class moving through a variety of cardiovascular and strength training exercises that keep your pulse elevated through the entire class.

+/-       Family Empowerment ARC

Once a week our pool is reserved for organizations who serve adults in the community with special needs. These organizations currently include Family Empowerment, ARC, and Crystal Run Village.

For more information please contact our Aquatics Department at 845.956.1517.

+/-       Family Swim

Family Swim is a recreational swim time where families enjoy quality time playing together in our pool. Swim bubbles, noodles and  pool toys are available. Inflatable floats and rafts are not permitted in our pool.  Please view our pool schedule at the top of this page for the current Family Swim Schedule.

Please Note:
Children age 5 and younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
Children ages 6-12 who can swim independently must have an adult present on the pool deck at all times.
Non-swimmers ages 6-12 must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
Non-swimmers are not permitted in the deep end of the pool unless wearing a lifejacket/bubble and must also be accompanied by an adult.
Swimmers will be evaluated by a lifeguard before being permitted to swim in water deeper than their own chest level.

+/-       Lap Swimming

During lap swim, our pool is set up as a 4 lane 20 yard pool. Swimmers must be 18 & older unless they can swim at the Fish level or higher. Lap lanes can be split by 2 swimmers but if more than 3 swimmers are in any one lane those swimmers must circle-swim. The lifeguard on duty has full authority to create safe lap swimming lanes by organizing swimmers according to speed. Swimmers who wish to do stationary exercise may use the slow lane if space is available. Please view our pool schedule at the top of this page for the current available lap times.

+/-       Pool Parties

Celebrate your child’s birthday with us. We have a variety of party package options for you to choose from. Host the party yourself or let us do all the work. Either way, your child will have a great time at the YMCA. Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance and are subject to availability.

Birthday parties are usually held Saturdays 2:00PM-4:00PM or Sundays 1:00PM-3:00PM. Other arrangements may be possible.
